F is for Friday, funky and feet
Ahhhh…. today is a much better day. My coffee is hot and Logan is upstairs talking to the cat while I take a couple of minutes to myself. After the day that we had here yesterday I think that anything will be an improvement. It was just one of those days, you know? It’s over now though and I am looking forward to today being full of giggles and smiles.
It’s still freezing cold here in WI which makes Easter a bit less fun. I was planning to do a huge egg hunt in the back yard for Hunter, but the weather man says it’s going to be in the 30’s and I just don’t think that that makes for fun outdoor activity. I might just skip the whole thing again this year (we’ve never really done the Easter thing for Hunter). It’s not as though we NEED tons of candy in the house anyway… we’ll see though. I tend to change my mind a lot on things like this.
Between crying fits yesterday I did manage to get a second coat of pink on the one little corner of my studio that I’ve been working on. I just LOVE it! I have painted all of the trim in a very light off white color (and there’s a lot of trim in here) and the pink just pops it out and makes the room feel bigger and happier. I’m going to do all of the walls in pink (yes, I’ve finally made that decision) but break it up with lots of artwork, chalkboards/corkboards and a whole wall of storage. I can’t wait to get this project done! The first piece of furniture is on the way here via UPS and once Jeff and I get the check for our latest project I’ll be able to get the rest… and a new computer!!!
The husband unit has been chomping at the bit to build me a new machine since he got home in November and I’ve made him hold off so that the finances can allow it. With this project and taxes (which I have to do VERY SOON!) there should be a little bit of extra cash which will allow him to go nuts and build me the dream machine he’s planned. Yes, Tim is a total geek and I love him for it. He showed me what he was planning for this new computer and I am not sure I’m going to be able to keep up with it. All kinds of speedy goodness including 4 GB of RAM, dual processor and dual monitors (I really do need dual monitors with all of the stuff that I do). I’m getting kind of excited about it… except for the down time that getting everything from this machine to the new one is going to involve. I’m running out of space here though (I do at least 1GB of graphics work on a daily basis when I’m working) so a good clean up is called for anyway.
Hunter, Logan and I are going to do some tooting around town today while Tim is at work. We’re also going to try to figure out something fun to do tomorrow with Hunter’s friend Ella and her mom. There are Easter things going on all around town, but they’re all OUTSIDE and as I mentioned before, this weather is not my idea of outdoor time. Maybe there’s something going on at the mall.
I’m working on a little Easter kit for you guys. Hopefully I’ll be done with it sometime today or early tomorrow. It has been 6 days since I gave out a freebie and I am starting to get the itch again.
I’m so excited to start getting the gallery together for the “so much to do” challenge! You guys have all rocked it out and made me so proud. I wish that I could give everyone a “shopping spree”… perhaps there will be an exlusive download just for participants? We’ll see how together I can keep myself over the weekend.
Okay! I think that I should probably go and wake the big boys up or one of them is going to be late for work. Happy Friday everyone and thanks for all of the joy you bring to my days. You guys ROCK my socks and I adore you.

Glad today is better, but I have to tell you I totally laughed at your post yesterday. I so can understand the feeling!
We have had ‘lots’ of rainy Easters and done tons of Egg Hunts in the house. I got those plastic Eggs for just in case we missed one! Plus you can put little candies or surprises in them. Anyway just a suggestion for a alternative

glad to hear today is better for you than yesterday!! and as for Easter’s egg hunt, why not try an indoor hunt at home!! i did that once for my kids and it was just as fun as if we’d have been outdoors!! NEVER give up on a good egg hunt LOL

Anna, I’m glad to hear that you are in the land of giggles and smiles again! Easter marks the time or year when everything is renewing itself. Perhaps we should follow suit! I’m so excited for you about your new studio and computer. LORD, there will be NO STOPPING YOU!!!! LOL!!!!

happy friday, anna… it’s snowing here in pennsylvania *argh* so i don’t think there will be any egg hunts around here… my fondest memories were of waking up on easter sunday to a breakfast of kielbasaNeggs (my dad always made this on easter, dunno why cuz we never had it any other day lol) and a slice of homemade babka, which we gobbled up as fast as we could to start the Egg Hunt (which was always inside cuz with lived in philly in the city, no grass in our yard) and we didn’t get our easter baskets til we found all those darn eggs… that was so much fun ~ guess yer gonna hafta start your own lil’ Easter Tradition, huh? Good luck with the painting, it sounds just lovely! Wishing you a wonderful day!

YEAY, for good days. If you guys were out in Central Cali, you would have a wonderful weekend outdoors, but i am stuck at work for the next couple of days, so i don’t evenget to enjoy it either
