treats for Tuesday
Ahhh… Tuesday morning. I have, sitting with me, a whining Logan and a Hunter who is talking simply to hear his own voice. Seriously. I could use a pair of really good ear muffs right now, and perhaps a fortress of solitude. If only these first teeth of Logan’s would cut through and be done with I think that my life would be much happier… I hope I’m not wrong about that.
I did get enough time over the weekend to read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows from start to finish! I’m sad that the series is over (there will be no spoilers here, so don’t worry) but I think that it ended well and I am happy that I am already starting from the beginning again (I’m reading it to Hunter).
So, with Harry Potter on the minds of millions and millions of readers all over the world I though that I’d start to put together a little package of Potter-esque goodies. Today we have a package of 13 papers (not all shown in the preview) honoring the 4 houses we’ve come to know and love (or even hate) over the course of these 7 books. I’m hoping to get some wonderful little elements out for you guys soon. You can download the House Rules papers here.

Come on, you guys gotta be kidding me. You and Lexi must be hiding your kids somewhere to have this kind of time to read! I’m still at page 437 and Lucas won’t let me read for more than 10min at a time… Sigh…
Love the papers, can’t wait to see the elements. Thanks!

As usual your stuff is gorgeous, thankyou so much. By the way if your babies teeth hurt give him a lolly ice to suck on, it will numb the pain and the cold will sooth his gums, hope that helps.

I hope Logan’s teeth-problems will be solved quickly! Great papers and looking forward to the elements

So glad to stop by and leave a little love. Everyone has Potter fever and fun reading the books. I tried to get into those books, but just couldn’t. So I guess I am lone person on that side. I guess I became hooked on the Rings when my son was 7-yrs of age. That is when he started that series during a summer special pilot reading program. So of course, I read it along with him, but separately. We both became hooked. I won’t say how many years ago that was, but we are still strong readers and still addicted to the Rings. So glad that the books are going strong in this country and elsewhere. A reader will always be an informative person. Regardless of where I lived and traveled with my ex, I always found a literary club and other free sources for readable materials. So everyone enjoy readingd your treasure. Practically every blog I normally visit are talking about the books. I might go to the movie to see the last one, but I did not enjoy the previous one that was so highly recommended. I dozed off during the movie, so terrible of me. I could not belive it. Anyway, please everyone when this craze for Potter has past, please continue to read additional books about various subjects. Thanks for the Potter papers with their deep, rich colors. I see which one my only grandson like. He will give me his opinion of which one to use on his photos. He is 9 and also a speed reader along with his sister. Love the diamond pattern in all the color combinations. I can’t wait to see what the elements will be. Thanks for another fantastic download. HUGS!!!

Anna,
Thanks for the beautiful papers. And as for teething pain: a little brandy rubbed on the gums works wonders. Got this remedy from my mom and it worked great for my four boys (youngest now 25 and expecting a son of his own.)

Thank you for the great papers. I used to really like the Harry Potter books, but I gave up after Order of the Phoenix, which I thought was horrible. Then book 6 was pretty decent as a stand-alone plot-wise, but the character development was so bad that I couldn’t enjoy the series. I did skim through Deathly Hollows and I will say it’s better than that the previous two, except for the epilogue which was just painful! Oh, well, I’m glad you and your son are enjoying the series. Rowling does have a great imagination and a good sense of humour.
July 25th, 2007 at 4:45 am
Sorry about Logan and I hope he finishes teething soon, he surely is not having the best times himself either.
It’s nice to hear that you had fun reading the HP book and that Hunter also enjoys it.
The papers are really nice and I’m sure the elements would be really nice to.
It’s a great way of celebrating the end of the book series. Thanks so much for sharing them with us.
Best wishes. :O)

Thanks for the fabulous papers. I finished Deathly Hallows as quickly as I could in the wee hours Sunday AM so that no one would spoil it for me. And I wasn’t disappointed either, as you said yourself. Your artwork will help us keep a little piece of HP and the other wonderful wizards with us always. Thanks so much. Melanie

THANK YOU for the Harry Potter - themed papers!
I finished the book late Sunday night. I would have finished it sooner, but Saturday was spent with a friend, so only a few hours in the evening were for reading…and then Sunday morning was church, so it wasn’t until about 2pm that I could read non-stop… of course, there were pesky things such as bathroom breaks and eating.
I did pretty much ignore my kids, but DH was okay with it, because he knew the sooner it was over, the sooner IT WAS OVER. ROFL

Hat’s off to you Anna. I’ve just had my little granddaughter, Jorja, for 2 days. She’s a month older than Logan and is a little doll and an utter delight but I’m exhausted LOL She kept me on my toes. How you look after your little ones and design and create is beyond me. You’re incredible and an inspiration.

Oh Anna, it’s not often that I wish for winter - especially in the midst of a lovely summer - but I’m missing March Madness, not even for the freebies so much as for the wonderful little glimpses into your life! (am I a pathetic loser or what?!)
Seriously though, just wanted you to know that although I (and we all) perfectly understand real life has to come first, WE MISS YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow! I’ve just discovered your blog today and I’m waaaaay past my bed-time, but have to “just read one more entry”!
I don’t know how you find the time to do all of this!
My Kidlet just left us to go cross-country to university and we’re adjusting to having an empty nest. Definately on the wild/weird side after almost 18 years of being “tuned in” to another person’s needs 24/7 and suddenly, poof, they’re gone. I swear it was just yesterday that she took her first school bus ride to kindergarten.
Now, not only are we avid HP fans, but her uni colors are also the same as the hp house colors and Kidlet’s residence just happens to have gryfindor’s colours as theirs. I know I spelled that incorrectly but I can barely type, my mousing hand is frozen stiff.
Must eat and head to bed… after bookmarking this place in several locations so I can find it again!
