meal planning

It was a busy day here in the little blue house. I did the grocery shopping early in the morning and then some laundry. I took a little rest then while Tim hung out with the kids and later put Logan down for nap. After that I got dinner in the oven (Root Beer braised short ribs) and worked on organizing my studio with my mom. After everyone ate dinner Tim and I went to see “Shutter Island”. I fell asleep for a little bit during the movie which left me missing one important piece, but other than that I really enjoyed the psychological thriller. Just my kind of movie.
This afternoon I wrote out the menu for this week so that I could feel a little bit more organized and I thought that I would share. Some of these dishes are my own recipes and others are from various and sundry cookbooks that I have collected. I’ll share recipes that I can through the week.

I like having meals planned out for the week and knowing how much time I am going to need each evening. This was something that I was doing regularly for quite awhile this fall but fell out of the habit. Now that I am back to it I remember why it made my nights so much easier.
There’s not much more very exciting to report. I need to do a whole bunch of things tomorrow… but I guess that’s really nothing new either.
